These services include: During our consultation with you and your pet, we will do a physical examination for your pet and provide the necessary advice thereafter. We are also here to answer any of your questions with regards to your pet health or even their behaviour. Heartworm prevention is often not part of the preventative routine in many pets. Apart of the annual core vaccination, we strongly advise to start your pet on heartworm prevention. However, if your pet has never been on the prevention or has missed it for more than 4-6 months, it is essential to check with a vet if your pet can be started on heartworm prevention. A blood test will likely be required. Our clinic provides the annual ProHeart 12 vaccination, applied on and oral preventatives. Tick fever, fur mite and ear mite infection are diseases we often encounter. Our Vets and Nurses will be able to answer your questions on the type of preventative that suits your pet. It is mandatory to license your dog with AVA (Agri-Food & Veterinary Authority) Singapore and your dog needs to have a microchip before applying for one. We provide the service of implanting a microchip, usually done between the shoulder blades. Our clinic is also happy to scan your pet microchip for free but if you need us to issue a certificate to prove your pet is microchipped, a fee would apply. Please note that a microchip does not provide GPS positioning nor provide the age of your pet. It is a unique set of numbers that acts like an identification number for them and should be registered with AVA. The registration can be done online. Unfortunately, we do not provide the service of registering your pet with AVA after microchipping but will be happy to advise you on the details.
