Dr. Lee See Yang graduated with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (Honours) from the University of Sydney in 2007. Upon graduation, Dr. Lee joined Companion Animal Surgery in Singapore as a Veterinary Surgeon. His particular areas of interests are small animal internal medicine, veterinary Chinese herbal medicine and acupuncture, orthopaedic surgery and emergency medicine. More recently, he attained qualification of Graduate Diploma in Veterinary Traditional Chinese Herbal Medicine. Dr Lee is the first Singaporean veterinarian to obtain this qualification. Prior to attaining his veterinary degree, Dr. Lee also completed a Bachelor of Business..
Dr Chang Siew Yee obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from NUS then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Veterinary Science from Massey University, New Zealand. After years in practice, she has since developed interests in emergency/internal medicine and imaging. Dr Chang comes from a family background of Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), which has played a factor in influencing her style of practice. She uses TCM to complement western medicine where she sees fit in order to provide the best chance as possible to aid in her patient’s recovery.
Dr Anushya Raja graduated with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (Honours) from the University of Queensland. She also has a Bachelors of Life Sciences from NUS.
Dr Anu has worked with the local veterinary authority. She made the switch to private practice and is now happy to be treating your pets at Stars Veterinary Clinic. She is an avid learner and thinks it is important to keep up with the latest research in the various areas of medicine and surgery, so as to provide the best care for her patients. With a keen interest in soft tissue surgery, she is looking at doing further studies in this area.
Dr Jordan Foo is a Sydney University graduate and has performed multiple clinical placements in Australia and Singapore, before joining Stars Veterinary Clinic as a veterinary surgeon. He has since developed special interests in diagnostic imaging, internal medicine, surgery and TCM. Dr Foo aims for a holistic and optimal approach to animal health care and welfare, and enjoys providing assistance and education regarding adequate pet care. Dr Foo is an avid lover of nature, spending his free time in nature reserves, cycling and trekking. In addition to travelling, he also enjoys theatre, music and languages.
Dr Jean graduated with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (Honours) from the University of Melbourne in 2013. After performing multiple placements in Australia and Singapore, she returned to sunny Singapore to work at a local veterinary practice before joining Stars Veterinary Clinic. Her special interests are in using diagnostic imaging to its full potential in fast detection of illnesses, internal medicine and soft tissue surgery. She loves to read and play music in her free time, both often accompanied by her loyal furry companion Snowball.
Dr Asyila Jamil graduated from the University of Queensland, Australia with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (Hons). During her studies, she rotated between various veterinary clinics, hospitals and pounds in Australia and has come to Singapore to work since.
Growing up with cats, rabbits, fishes and ruminants, Dr Asyila Jamil had developed a passion since young to provide the best care possible for all ranges of animals.
As a general practitioner, she enjoys all aspects of companion animal medicine and surgery and is particularly interested in emergency and critical care. While outside work, she enjoys reading and spending time with her family and friends.
Dexter finished his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Southern Mindanao, Kabacan, North Cotabato, Philippines in the year 2008 and passing the veterinary licensure at the same year. His first work was with farm animals for about 2 years before coming to Singapore to work with Small Animal practice. With 5 years of experience in a veterinary hospital, before joining Stars Veterinary Clinic in the year 2015. His interest mainly is with Surgery and Diagnostic imaging. Providing quality healthcare always comes first as his goal.
He enjoys travelling, tennis, basketball with his leisure time.
Shirley has earned her degree of Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at University of Southern Mindanao, Philippines. She has practiced her degree in the Philippines and went further in Singapore for more than 8 years. Her passion includes emergency and critical care. She is fond of cute little dogs and the feline family.
Whenever she’s not at work, Shirley likes going out and spending quality time with friends.
Hexun graduated from Temasek Polytechnic in 2014 with a diploma in Veterinary Technology. He has since worked in various veterinary clinics and also in the military working dog unit whilst serving his national service. He uses the skills he acquired previously to aid the vets in day to day procedures and to provide excellent healthcare services to all patients. He is meticulous, patient and does his best to expand his knowledge by learning from his peers in the clinic and looking up on articles to better understand the conditions of the patients he attends to. In his free time, Hexun enjoys running, swimming, relaxing at home with a good book to read, spending time with his family and friends.
Yong Zhi received his veterinary degree from Shanxi Agriculture University in China. He has worked in Singapore as a veterinary technician since 2010. His special interest is on acupuncture and veterinary TCM. He has attended numerous courses in this area of work. He is also board certified in China.
During his leisure, he loves to play and watch football and basketball matches.
Gen graduated from OSAC International College with a Diploma in Hotel Management. As an administrator, she is keen in managing Stars Veterinary Clinic. Gen is dedicated and passionate when dealing with animals. She enjoys interacting with clients and puts her heart into the welfare of the patients. During her free time, she teaches ballet and spends time with her family and friends.
Kai Ying earned her Diploma in Hotel and Hospitality Management from Republic Polytechnic in May 2017. She worked part-time since 2014 and has converted to full-time after finishing her studies.With a strong passion for clientele service and hospitality as well as love for animals, she decided to join Stars Veterinary Clinic. In her free time, she loves to spend time with her two beloved dogs, Xiao Bai the Jack Russell Terrier and Coco the Shih Tzu.
Janice graduated from Temasek Polytechnic in 2017 with a Diploma in Veterinary Technology. She opted for Aquaculture in her final year and completed her internship in Maldives working with sea turtles.
She is constantly learning on the job, picking up new skills.
Besides catching up on her tv series, Janice also volunteers at an animal shelter during her free time.
Destiny joined Stars Veterinary clinic with a strong interest of helping animals in need. She is a fast learner and easily adapts to the different situations in the clinic, moving into action wherever needed. She loves interacting with clients, helping them however she can to make them feel at ease. During her free time she either finds herself doing intricate crafts such as creating dioramas or volunteering in events to help conserve or carry out research about the local marine life.
Chee Kiong joined Stars in 2016 and oversees the day-to-day operations of the clinic. He is especially fond of big dogs and fishes. He enjoys outdoor sports and during his free time, he likes to cycle, trek or run in the trails.
